On a short section between Großrußbach and Niederhollabrunn, the Way of St. James in the Weinviertel region touches the boundaries of the municipality of Harmannsdorf.
Pilgrimage tradition plays an important role in the municipality of Harmansdorf. For centuries, the citizens of Obergänserndorf and Rückersdorf have pilgrimaged to Karnabrunn every year and have upheld this tradition until today.
Time for reflection
Three parish churches in the municipality date back to the restructuring of the parish system by Emperor Joseph II in the 1880s. It was supposed to bring the parish churches closer to the believers. The church's patronage refers to things that happened far beyond the region and ties in with the beginnings of Christian pilgrimage: It is dedicated to the discovery of the Holy Cross by Empress Helena and St. Hippolyte in the 4th century. It also combines all the major building phases with a Romanesque nave, a Gothic chancel, an aisle dating back to the Baroque transformation of the 17th century and a Neo-Gothic high altar. The parish church dedicated to St. Barbara in Obergänserndorf is a hall construction from the beginning of the 19th century.

There are many things worth seeing within the municipality's boundaries, for instance the Schwedenhöhle (Swedish cave) in Rohr forest and the Kunstfeld und Sonnenrad (art field and sun wheel) in Hetzmannsdorf.
